Apply for the DeSpy Beta

Tell us a little about how you'd use DeSpy. Applications are reviewed by a human; approved testers receive a personal download link by email.

Target beta release: August 15, 2026 (this is a moving target and may change)

What you'll need: the beta is currently a Windows desktop application (~650 MB) that scans your iPhone or Android phone over a USB cable — the platform choice below is about the phone being scanned; you'll need a Windows PC to run the scan itself.

Privacy notice — beta program

Who we are. DeSpy ("we") is the data controller for beta-program data. Contact: privacy@despy.app.

What we collect and why. The details you enter in this form (name, email, organization, device platforms, country, and your reason for applying) are used solely to evaluate your application and, if approved, deliver and administer your beta access. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); for administering access after approval, performance of the beta agreement (Art. 6(1)(b)).

What we don't do. We do not sell or share your personal information (as "sell"/"share" are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act), and we do not use it for advertising. We never store your IP address — abuse-prevention records keep only a salted one-way hash.

Marketing. Product-news email is sent only if you tick the optional box above, and every message includes an unsubscribe link. Declining has no effect on your application.

Retention. Applications that are denied or inactive are deleted no later than 12 months after submission. Approved-tester records are kept for the duration of the beta program and deleted within 90 days of its end.

Your rights. You may withdraw consent, and request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data at any time (GDPR Arts. 15–21; CCPA §§ 1798.100–.125). Use the data removal form or email privacy@despy.app. We fulfill requests within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising them. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
