Remove my data
Enter any email address you have given us — a beta application, a bug report, a correction to our research, or the newsletter. We'll send it a confirmation link; confirming permanently erases your application data, your bug-report and correction contact details, and your newsletter subscription, and revokes any active download links.
How this works
Double opt-in. To stop anyone else from deleting your beta access, we first email a confirmation link (valid 48 hours) to the address you enter. The link opens a confirmation page; nothing is deleted until you press the confirm button on it — so a mail scanner opening the link can never trigger the deletion.
Your address is not kept. The address you enter is stored only in encrypted form while your confirmation link is valid, used once to perform the erasure and send you the outcome, then deleted — whether or not we held any data. It is never added to any list.
What you'll hear back. After confirming, the page and a follow-up email tell you plainly which it was: your data was erased, or we held no data for that address.
What remains. If data was erased, a minimal anonymous record of the deletion (no personal data) is retained as proof of fulfillment, as permitted by GDPR/CCPA. Salted one-way abuse-prevention hashes, which cannot identify you, also remain.
Questions? Email privacy@despy.app. We fulfill requests within 30 days and will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights (GDPR Arts. 15–21; CCPA §§ 1798.100–.125).
